A Tile Laying Game

“Fences feels similar in its play style [to Carcassonne], but that’s where any comparison should end. Fences is a more straightforward game, but it throws in a neat new idea of how to score. The Farmer Profiles are essential to the player and should be considered every time the player places a Land tile. The Henhouses are not superfluous by any means,  but they should not be regarded as the primary means to score points, either. The Farmer Profile is where it’s at.” -Father Geek

In Fences: Farmers compete to build fields for their animals. Lay tiles to grow your farms and collect your animals. Earn points for each animal you own and also score points for completing farms you don't own. Each tile will expand your farm, but also your neighbors, so play strategically. Each player has a unique farmer profile that can change how they score points, so every game is very different!

The game was funded on Kickstarter in January of 2019. Each of the Farmer Profile cards in the game are actual backers from the campaign who donated at that level. We are appreciative of their support! They helped us to not only reach our funding goal quickly, but they also helped to add so much variety and replayability to the game.

“And true to the nature of variable player powers in any game, these different play styles provide the game with a great degree of replayability.” -Meeple Mountain

The Ranch: Reviews

"Huge amount of replayability due to mixing Farmer Powers from Fences and the 9 expansions in The Ranch. Also, easy to adjust the complexity/depth to fit your current Players" -Dastardly Designs

The expansions do provide the next level of depth you would want to experience after you are familiar with the base game - Father Geek
